A Brief History
Ibex Hill School has been in existence since 1992. It caters for both local and international students and runs from Pre School to grade twelve (12). It Offers Cambrdige and Examinations Council of Zambia examinations. Ibex Hill is a REGISTERED Center for Cambridge and offers tuition to its pupils based on the Cambridge International Examination Syllabii.
Ibex Hill has two campuses: Girls Main Campus and Twin Boys Campus with excellent boarding facilities which cater for pupils from grade one to twelve. Each campus has its own kitchen and dining hall. Five good meals are provided to the pupils on a dail basis. Ibex Hill has matrons, boarding masters, house parents and maids for both campuses to attend to pupils on a 24 hour service.
As a member of the Independant Schools Association of Zambia (ISAZ), Ibex Hill's continual aim is to provide education and facilities of the highest quality and rank alongside comparable schools in Zambia.

Administration:
- The school is headed by Executive Directors assisted by the General Manager who is in charge of the day-to-day running of the school. The school comprises two sections, High School and Basic School which are managed by a head in each section. In addition, the heads are assisted by Heads of Department and Senior Teachers respectively.

- The Ibex School has a highly qualified and dedicated staff.

Classrooms
- To maximise teacher pupil attention the number of pupils in each classroom is manageable.

Enrollment Procedures
- Pupils wishing to enroll at Ibex are given an aptitude test. Their acceptance to the school entirely depends on their performance; thus lower achievers together with respect of parental views are asked to enroll in a lower grade.
Academic Departments The Ibex School has the following academic departments:

Science Department:
- The science daprtment offers physics, chemistry and biology at 'O' Level; environmental science at Junior Level; and it also has a section of Information Technology for both primary and secondary pupils.

Mathematics Department:
- This department offers mathematics to both junior and senior level pupils.

Social Science Department:
- The social science department offers art, book-keeping, office practice, geography, history, religious eduction and music.

Language Department:
- The language department offers English and English literature and French.

Physical Education Department:
- The Ibex School offers sporting activities in different areas. The Ibex School has a proven record of competence in different sporting activities such as: soccer, basketball, netball, and volleyball. The school's success has been driven by its ability to compete with schools that are affiliates of the Independent Schools Association of Zambia (ISAZ). Apart from the common ball games, the Ibex School also offers swimming lessons.

Information Technology Department:
- The computer laboratory has computers to cater for a full class. Students are provided with internet to access educational materials as well as their mail. This is done under the supervision of the subject teachers.

Library Services:
- The school library is attached to the British Council Learning Centre and the Zambian Library Services. It is well stocked with materials for all grades. The school offers assistance and facilities to pupils and staff in preparation of assignments, independent study, research and extensive reading. The library is open from 06:30 hours to 17:00 hours on week days.

Counseling and Mentoring:
- Adjusting to a new environment can be a stressful experience for many pupils. To assist students with their welfare and spiritual needs, the counseling department is available for them. Pupils are also assisted with academic work and choice of careers.

Health and Medical Services:
- The school has a clinic run by qualified nurses. It is well stocked.

Entertainment:
- The school offers a number of in-door entertainment activities. Variety shows and modelling contests are held to enable children to develop free expression and improve on their talents. Cultural activities like dances are performed during national ceremonies to help the children have a good sense of identity and pride. Classes present various activities at assembly with an emphasis on good morals and spiritual aspects.
