Family Background:
Mude comes from a household with both parents. Mude is the oldest child of five children and has three orphan siblings that his parents care for. Both parents are primary school teachers. Despite working the total income of Mude’s parents, in view of other expenses, cannot sustain Mude’s education at secondary school level. Mude’s parents very active parents and participate in PTA meetings. They are very interested in getting involved in their children’s activities as well.

Mude's Education:
Mude was a highly intelligent and active student in primary school compared to most of his fellow students. His performance in end of term tests in primary school has often been rated as excellent. His favourite subject at primary school was English.

At Ibex Hill Secondary School (Grade 8):
Mude has thoroughly enjoyed his first year at Ibex Hill secondary school. As the year has progressed he has made a better effort in his work, allowing him to improve different areas especially in English. He feels that his relationship with his teachers is getting better, and the one thing he wishes he could improve on more is his handwriting. He sounds optimistic that he will get better marks in the coming term.

Mude's Interests:
In primary school, Mude loved soccer and took the initiative to raise money to buy soccer shoes. He asked his father for a small sum of money so that he could invest it in an ice block business. Within a month, Mude had raised enough money to buy his shoes and went out to get them himself.

Now at Ibex Hill, Mude is finding new talents and likes to add to his love of soccer. Although he continues to play soccer, Mude now enjoys scrabble and debate because he feels his vocabulary is greatly improving as a result of his participation.

Career Interests: When Mude’s class took a trip to the nearby airport, his attention was focused on the planes that he saw. Since then he has decided that he wants to be a pilot, and has found out as much information as possible about planes and how to become a pilot.

What Other Think of Mude:
Mude is a true leader, and is often seen teaching other children to read and write. In addition, his friends depend on him for guidance. Mude’s parents agree that Mude has an inquisitive mind, always wanting to discover new things, and he is interested in things around him. He takes notice of his environment. Mude’s teachers describe him as intelligent and active both inside and outside class.

Mude's Thoughts: “As a KF student I am enjoying the activities that are taking place here because I have made new friends and the meals are nice. I am enjoying the sports and the different clubs that they offer here. The school has tournaments and trips, which I look forward to.”
