Family Background:
Lukonde comes from a household with both parents. He is the second born of the three children. Despite of having both parents, the father is the sole provider and his salary can barely meet household expenses. He comes from a family which seems to suffer from abuse. His lack of self expression and confidence inspite of his intelligence maybe as a result of intimidation by his father who is often drunk.
Lukonde's Education:
Lukonde is a very intelligent, obedient and very honest boy. He has an overwhelming dedication to school as evident from his former head teacher’s remarks. His academic performance at primary school has often been rated as good. Lukonde’s favourite subjects at primary school were Mathematics English and Science. Out of over two hundred students who sat the Zambian National Grade Seven National Exams, Lukonde was among the top four, a great achievement indeed.
Lukonde's Interests:
Artistic painting and reading. He loves to write and read poetry. Lukonde wants to be an Artist. He wants also to go further in his education and get to university so that he will be able to help his siblings.
What Others Think of Him:
Both his mother and primary school teachers describe him as a very hard working boy. Lukonde is a very reserved student who rarely mixes with others. He is extremely quiet but he is able to discuss issues if asked to do so.
